tenc,
The Emperor's New Clothes, in the Pavillion Kuala Lumpur
is the culmination of a vision between three friends.
The vision aims to create a place for men, where they
will be treated as emperors. tenc opened its doors on
Jan 31st, 2008, and has fast become a haven for discerning
men with a taste for menswear brands from all over the
world.
The idea for the boutique was
born over a casual dinner conversation between Casmad
Sanuri, Ruben Emir Gnanalingam and Khairy Jamaluddin.
The friends were passionate in their love for fashion
and realised that the local retail industry is lacking
in an exclusive menswear boutique. The potential became
limitless when the three friends set up tenc. They envisioned
a boutique which would allow the wearer to make a statement
be it casual or cosmopolitan.
The decor of the boutique reflects
a masculine and classy atmosphere. Any visitor is made
to feel like he just wandered into a gentleman's club.
The whole setting was created to enhance all things
'men' with a library stacked with intriguing items such
as stuffed animals, a world globe and carefully selected
hardcover books, a pool table and comfortable armchairs
where the visitors can lounge. This provides a pleasant
and cosy environment.
Co-founder and CEO, Casmad, or
better known as Memed oversees the day-to-day running
of the store as he has a unique ability to translate
modern men's spirit into fashion. He was exposed to
the fashion industry since he was 17 years old when
he started modelling, and during his studies in London
and Paris. Armed with his unique taste and experience
in the fashion industry, he wants to gear tenc to be
a leading cutting edge fashion retailer. tenc offers
the latest fashion and styles from well-known designer
brands and the current 'in' brands from around the world.
tenc's collection is based on
à la mode trends. The clothes that tenc offer
are fashion forward and perfect for men who dare to
be different and like to try new things. Come and experience
a relaxed ambience, good service and great clothes.
